Release Notes: Attendance - November 14

We’re excited to share the latest updates and fixes for this first version of Attendance in V4! This update focuses on improving user experience, addressing bugs, and enhancing security.

💡 New Features & Enhancements

  1. Updated Help Menu

    • Links to the V4 Knowledgebase and the Canny feedback board.

    • Now includes live chat for real-time support!

  2. Simplified Registration Form Setup

    • Improved registration flow for basic events, reducing complexity.

    • Advanced options: Optional tabs are hidden by default, and some registration form preferences have been moved from "Event Preferences" to "Advanced Options."

    • Designed to help new users learn the basics more easily.

  3. Email Tracking Implementation

    • Integrated with AWS Simple Email Service to enable basic in-app email tracking for sent emails.

🪲Bug Fixes

✨ General

  • Account Onboarding: Resolved an issue where the final step of uploading the organization logo was missing.

  • Host Manager: Fixed "Event Page" link redirecting to the Host Manager instead of the Event Web Page.

📝 Registration Form

  • Unlimited Quantity Tickets: Resolved an issue where leaving the quantity blank in Registration Form setup prevented ticket purchases.

⚙️ Event Setup

  • Missing Tagline on EWP: The Tagline set in Event Details now displays on the public Event Web Page.

  • Color Requirement: Fixed an inconsistency where colors were not required during event creation but were required during event details edits.

  • Coordinator Name Placeholder: Resolved an issue where placeholders for the coordinator name were not being replaced with data from Event Details.

🍽️ Table Chart

  • Group Disappearance: Fixed a bug where partially assigned groups would disappear from the group list.

  • Group List Refresh: The group list now updates automatically when seats are assigned or unassigned.

  • Overbooked Tables: Adjusted the overbooked modal to only display when the table exceeds its limit, not when it's at full capacity.

🎟️ Ticket Manager

  • Registration Details Slider: Fixed the "View Registration" menu option to open correctly.

  • QR Code Image Missing: Restored QR codes to tickets viewed or printed in Ticket Manager.

  • Event Titles: Event names are now displayed in addition to event dates in the event list.

  • Invalid Event Date: Resolved an issue where event times displayed as "Invalid DateTime."

📨 Email

  • Personalized Note Missing: Personalized text now appears in invitation emails.

  • Branding Update: Updated "Ministry Sync" references to "FundEasy" in reset password emails.

📊 Event Summary Report

  • Event Date Missing: Fixed an issue where the event date was displayed as "Invalid DateTime."

🔒 Security Updates

  • Authentication Cookie Issue: Addressed a security flaw where users remained signed in after logging out due to an active authentication cookie. The cookie now invalidates properly upon sign-out.
