Feature Highlight: Affiliation Tool

🚀Today, we're excited to introduce a powerful new addition to V4: the Affiliation Tool. 

This tool has been designed with our users in mind, addressing much of the feedback we’ve received over the years on the limitations experienced with the “Churches” field. As you embark on your beta testing, let's take a closer look at how this tool will revolutionize the way you manage churches and other group affiliations.

👀Reflecting on V3 Church Management

The Affiliation tool is an upgraded replacement for the Church management feature originally offered in both Attendance and Peer-to-Peer. This feature allowed registrants to select the church they attend or add to the list if their desired church was missing.

 
 

While it has been a beloved feature for many years, we heard you when you told us there were several significant limitations that often led to frustration, including limited functionality, cumbersome management, and inadequate reporting. 

💥Introducing the V4 Affiliation Tool

 
 

We're thrilled to announce that all these limitations are now a thing of the past. 

With the launch of V4, the Affiliation Tool has been completely revamped to offer a more robust, flexible, and user-friendly experience. Here are some key improvements and features:

🚙Centralized Dashboard

The Affiliation Tool includes a centralized dashboard at the account level. This means every event within an account pulls from a central list of affiliations, allowing each event to auto-populate with the affiliations from last year to ensure consistency and save you time.

 
 

⚡️Easy List Import

In V3, manually adding each church to populate your list was time-consuming. Now with the Affiliation Tool, you can easily import a list of affiliations through a .csv file. This is perfect for organizations that want registrants to choose from a pre-populated list.

 
 

✏️Bulk Editing and Deletion

The V4 Affiliation Tool allows you to edit or delete entries effortlessly, including bulk operations. This feature enables large-scale updates to multiple affiliations simultaneously, streamlining your management process.

 
 


📈Reporting and Custom Sort Options

The V4 Affiliation Tool allows you to customize reports by dragging and dropping columns, adding custom sort options, and extracting valuable insights from your affiliations by Exporting Spreadsheets.

 
 

✅Adding New Affiliations

You can individually add new affiliations for churches, schools, or other groups along with the contact information for the primary contact. 

 
 

⚙️Customizable Settings

The Affiliation feature can be enabled under Event Preferences, rather than on the Registration form. Once enabled, you can:

  1. Choose the Affiliation type from the dropdown: Church, School, Organization, or Club.

  2. Make the affiliation response required.

  3. Decide whether you want to allow registrants to make their own additions to the accumulated affiliation list. If this option is checked, registrants can populate the list themselves with any missing entries. If it's unchecked, they can only choose from the existing affiliation list.

 
 

The V4 Affiliation Tool is a game-changer, designed to overcome the limitations of the old Church Tool and provide a more versatile and comprehensive solution for managing affiliations. 

Whether you need to track church affiliations, schools, clubs, or other groups, the Affiliation Tool will significantly enhance your ability to manage registrants' affiliations, saving you time and effort while offering powerful new capabilities.
