Promoting Your Event Online

Every Event and Fundraiser in FundEasy has an “Event Webpage”. This webpage shares basic information about your event/fundraiser, as well as a clear Call to Action.

  • Attendance events’ Call to Action is to Register.

  • Crowdfunding fundraisers challenge viewers to Give.

  • Peer-to-Peer fundraisers encourage supporters to participate as a Fundraiser and/or donors to Give.

While FundEasy does not advertise for you since most fundraisers are private events, we sure make it easy for you to succeed in promoting your fundraisers to the right groups of people!

Where to find your promote links

Before we get into ways to promote your event, let’s take a look at how to find your event link.

When in your event in FundEasy, this link is found by clicking “Promote Event” or “Promote Campaign” from the menu on the left.

Promote Campaign Link

Your Event Link is clearly displayed and easy to copy. You can also share right to Facebook or Twitter from here!

If you’d rather link directly to your registration form, simply click “Advanced Link Options” where you’ll be given multiple other links to copy.

Advanced Link Options

Alright, now let’s get into the promotion!

Promote on Your Website

Most importantly, you’ll want to link your website to the event. This link is best shared either on your homepage or on an events page in order to easily guide supporters to your event/fundraiser. This easy promotion can be done through graphics, buttons, or simple hyperlinks.

If you choose to include your Event Link within a paragraph on your website, you’ll want to create a hyperlink.

The Event link is long and ugly (like this: https://secure.fundeasy.com/ministrysync/event/?e=12354), so pasting the URL on your website is not ideal. It’s best to link it through a hyperlink (Like this: Annual Fundraising Dinner). See how much better that looks?

Promote In your Email Signature

Another easy place to promote your upcoming event is in your email signature.

How many emails do you send in a day? Odds are, quite a few!

Take the opportunity to add an event image or hyperlink to your email signature and share your upcoming event with everyone you write. If you have an event banner you are using on your website or as a cover photo on social media, adapt that for use in your email signature. Talk to your organization's graphic designer for additional help on this.

Promote on your Social Media Pages

Share your event on any social media platform to which you belong. Remember, you can promote your event instantly under the "Promote Your Event" section of your event/campaign dashboard, or by clicking “Promote your Event/Campaign”

Promote on Your Print Materials

All your invitations, newsletters, and emails should include information about your upcoming event and include your organization's webpage so guests can register or give online.

Again, we don't encourage printing the Event Link on print materials since it’s so long, so use a QR code instead to guide viewers to your organization’s website.

Pro Tip: QR Code Monkey is a great website for creating a QR code. You can customize it to include an image (like your logo) or to be a different color to match your branding!
